माता सीता के जन्म की कहानी

पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार माता सीता भगवान जनक को जमीन के नीचे मिली थीं। महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी की रामायण के अनुसार राजा जनक के समय में  एक बार मिथिला राज्य में अकाल पड़ गया। ऋषियों ने राजा जनक से यज्ञ का आयोजन करने के लिए कहा जिससे वर्षा ही और उनका कष्ट दूर हो।

यज्ञ की समाप्ति के अवसर पर राजा जनक अपने हाथों से हल लेकर खेत जोत रहे थे तभी उनके हल का नुकीला भाग जिसे सीत कहते हैं किसी कठोर चीज से टकराया और हल वहीं अटक गया।

जब उस स्थान खुदाई हुई तब एक कलश मिला जिसमें एक सुंदर कन्या थी। राजा जनक ने उस कन्या को कलश से बाहर निकाला और उसे अपनी पुत्री के रूप में स्वीकार किया। जनक की पत्नी उस समय निःसंतान थीं इसलिए बेटी को पाकर वो अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुईं।

चूंकि हल के उस हिस्से से टकराकर माता सीता मिलीं थीं जिसे सीत कहा जाता है, इसलिए ही उनका नाम सीता रखा गया। वहीं जनक पुत्री के रूप में उन्हें जानकी कहा गया।  

Story of Mother Sita's birth

According to mythology, Mother Sita was found by Lord Janak under the ground. According to Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana, once during the time of King Janak, there was a famine in the Mithila kingdom. The sages asked King Janak to organize a yagya so that the rain and their suffering would go away.

On the occasion of the end of the Yajna, King Janak was plowing the field with his hand plow, when the pointed part of his plow called Seet collided with some hard object and the plow got stuck there.

When the place was excavated, an urn was found in which there was a beautiful girl. King Janak took that girl out of the urn and accepted her as his daughter. Janak's wife was childless at that time, so she was very happy to have a daughter.

Since Mother Sita was found by hitting that part of the plow which is called Sita, hence she was named Sita. There she was called Janaki as Janak's daughter.
