रंभा तृतीया व्रत कथा
ज्येष्ठ माह में शुक्ल पक्ष के तीसरे दिन रंभा तृतीया का व्रत रखा जाता है। इस दिन देवलोक की अप्सरा, रंभा कि पूजा की जाती है। इस दिन को रंभा तृतीया के जाना जाता है। पौराणिक मान्यतानुसार रंभा, समुन्द्र मंथन के समय उत्पन्न होने वाले 14 रत्नों में से एक थी। इस दिन विवाहित महिलाएं पूजा करने के साथ ही इसकी व्रत कथा का भी श्रवण करती है।
पूर्वकालीन समय मे एक ब्राह्मण परिवार बहुत ही सुख पूर्वक जीवन यापन कर रहे होते है, वह दोनों पति पत्नी श्री महालक्ष्मी का विधि- विधान से पूजन किया करते थे। दोनों खुशी-खुशी दिन गुजार रहे थे की अचानक एक दिन ब्राह्मण को किसी कारण से नगर से बाहर जाना पड़ा। वह जाते हुए अपनी पत्नी को समझा कर गया की अपने कार्य के लिए उन्हें नगर से बाहर जाना पड़ता है। ब्राह्मण के नगर से बाहर जाने के बाद ब्राह्मणी बहुत दुखी रहने लगीं। अपने पति के बहुत दिनों तक ना लौटने के कारण वह बहुत शोक और निराशा से घिर गई। एक दिन ब्राह्मणी को सोते समय बुरा स्वप्न आता है, इस स्वप्न में वह देखती है उसके पति के साथ कोई दुर्घटना हो गई है। इस स्वप्न से जाग कर वह विलाप करने लग जाती है।
ब्राह्मणी का यह विलाप सुनकर देवी लक्ष्मी एक बूढी महिला का वेष बना कर वहां प्रकट हो जाती है और उससे उनके दुख का कारण पूछती है। वृद्ध स्त्री के यह पूछने पर ब्राह्मणी उन्हें सारी बात बताती हैं।
ब्राह्मणी की बात सुनकर वह वृद्ध स्त्री उसे ज्येष्ठ मास की शुक्ल पक्ष में आने वाली रंभा तृतीया का व्रत करने को कहती है। फिर वह ब्राह्मणी उस स्त्री के कहने के अनुसार रंभा तृतीया के दिन व्रत और पूजा करती है और व्रत करने के साथ ही उसके प्रभाव से उसका पति पुन: सकुशल घर लौट आता है।
जैसे रंभा तीज के प्रभाव से ब्राह्मणी के सुहाग की रक्षा होती है, उसी तरह सभी के सुहाग की रक्षा हो !
Rambha Tritiya Vrat katha
Rambha Tritiya fast is observed on the third day of Shukla Paksha in Jyestha month. On this day the Apsara of Devlok, Rambha is worshipped. This day is known as Rambha Tritiya. According to mythological belief, Rambha was one of the 14 gems produced during the churning of the ocean. On this day, married women worship and listen to its fasting story.
In earlier times, a Brahmin family was living very happily, both husband and wife used to worship Shri Mahalakshmi according to the rules and regulations. Both were happily passing the day when suddenly one day the Brahmin had to go out of the city for some reason. While leaving, he explained to his wife that he had to go out of town for his work. After the Brahmin went out of the city, the Brahmins became very sad. Due to the non-return of her husband for many days, she was surrounded by great grief and despair. One day a Brahmin has a bad dream while sleeping, in this dream she sees that there has been an accident with her husband. Waking up from this dream, she starts lamenting.
Hearing this lamentation of the Brahmin, Goddess Lakshmi appears there in the guise of an old woman and asks her the reason for her sorrow. When the old woman asked this, the Brahmin told her the whole thing.
After listening to the Brahmin, the old woman asks her to fast on Rambha Tritiya, which falls in the Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month. Then that Brahmin fasts and worships on the day of Rambha Tritiya as per the saying of that woman and with the effect of fasting, her husband returns home safely again.
Just as the honeymoon of a Brahmin is protected by the influence of Rambha Teej, in the same way everyone's honeymoon should be protected!
