ब्रह्मा मंदिर का इतिहास
पुष्कर 500 से अधिक मंदिरों का घर है और महत्वपूर्ण मंदिरों में से एक जगतपिता ब्रह्मा मंदिर है। मंदिर की संरचना 14 वीं शताब्दी में बनी है और मंदिर का निर्माण विश्वामित्र ने ब्रह्मा के अनुष्ठान के बाद किया था।
ब्रह्म मंदिर के पीछे की कई अलग-अलग किंवदंतियां हैं। कुछ एक ऐसी घटना का उल्लेख करते हैं जहां भगवान ब्रह्मा ने एक उपलब्धि के बारे में झूठ बोला था। भगवान ब्रह्मा प्रकाश के स्तंभ के सिर को खोजने की कोशिश कर रहे थे और भगवान विष्णु पैर खोजने की कोशिश कर रहे थे लेकिन वे दोनों हार गए। भगवान विष्णु ने अपनी हार स्वीकार कर ली लेकिन भगवान ब्रह्मा ने इसके बारे में झूठ बोला और सबूत के रूप में एक फूल खरीदा कि वह शीर्ष पर पहुंच गए लेकिन उनके झूठ की खोज भगवान शिव ने की और उन्हें शिव ने श्राप दिया कि उनके पास उनकी पूजा के लिए समर्पित कोई मंदिर नहीं होगा क्योंकि वह अयोग्य है।
इससे जुड़ी एक और किंवदंती है, भगवान ब्रह्मा ने शतपुर नाम की एक महिला देवत्व की रचना की और उससे प्यार हो गया, लेकिन इससे भगवान शिव नाराज हो गए और भगवान ब्रह्मा को दंडित किया कि पृथ्वी पर कोई भी भगवान ब्रह्मा की पूजा नहीं करेगा।
पुष्कर के लोगों का मानना है कि श्राप ब्रह्मा की पत्नी सावित्री ने दिया था। किंवदंती के अनुसार, अग्नि यज्ञ अनुष्ठान का आयोजन किया गया था और भगवान ब्रह्मा को उनकी पत्नी के साथ वहां भेजा गया था, वह वहां मौजूद नहीं थीं इसलिए ब्रह्मा जी ने गायत्री नाम की एक स्थानीय लड़की से शादी करने का फैसला किया क्योंकि उन्हें पूजा पूरी करने के लिए साथी की आवश्यकता थी। जब सावित्री ने इन सब बातों को सुना तो वह जल्दी से उस स्थान पर पहुंची और भगवान ब्रह्मा को श्राप दिया कि पुष्कर ही उनके मंदिर के लिए एकमात्र स्थान होगा।

पुष्कर में शीर्ष पर स्थित एक मंदिर के साथ दो पहाड़ियां हैं, ऊंची पहाड़ी मंदिर सावित्री को समर्पित है और निचली पहाड़ी मंदिर गायत्री को समर्पित है।
ब्रह्मा मंदिर की वास्तुकला
मंदिर एक ऊंचे आधार पर स्थित है और मंदिर की ओर जाने वाले प्रवेश द्वार पर संगमरमर की सीढ़ियां हैं। पूरे द्वार को खंभों की छतरियों से सजाया गया है। पूरा ब्रह्मा मंदिर पत्थर के स्लैब और ब्लॉक से बना है और सभी ब्लॉक पिघले हुए शीशे की मदद से आपस में जुड़े हुए हैं। जगतपिता ब्रह्मा मंदिर की दो सुंदर विशेषताएं शिखर और हम्सा का प्रतीक हैं। भगवान ब्रह्मा की मूर्ति संगमरमर से बनी है। मंदिर का पूरा फर्श एक काले और सफेद चेक डिजाइन के साथ संगमरमर का है। मंदिर की दीवारों पर भगवान ब्रह्मा को चढ़ाने के रूप में चिह्नित भक्तों द्वारा सिक्कों से जड़ा गया है।

The people of Pushkar believe that the curse was given by Savitri, the wife of Brahma. According to the legend, the fire sacrifice ritual was conducted and Lord Brahma was sent there with his wife, she was not present there so Brahma decided to marry a local girl named Gayatri.Because he needed a companion to complete the worship. When Savitri heard all these things she quickly reached the place and cursed Lord Brahma that Pushkar would be the only place for his temple.

Architecture of Brahma Temple
The temple is situated on a high plinth and the entrance leading to the temple has marble steps. The entire gate is decorated with canopies of pillars. The entire Brahma temple is made of stone slabs and blocks and all the blocks are joined together with the help of molten glass.The two beautiful features of the Jagatpita Brahma Temple are the symbols of the Shikhara and the Hamsa. The idol of Lord Brahma is made of marble. The entire floor of the temple is of marble with a black and white check design. The walls of the temple are studded with coins by devotees marked as offerings to Lord Brahma.
