प्रेम मंदिर, वृंदावन

राज्य के मथुरा जिले के समीप वृंदावन में स्थित है। इसका निर्माण जगद्गुरु कृपालु महाराज द्वारा भगवान कृष्ण और राधा के मन्दिर के रूप में करवाया गया है। प्रेम मन्दिर का लोकार्पण 17 फरवरी को किया गया था। इस मन्दिर के निर्माण में 11 वर्ष का समय और लगभग 100 करोड़ रुपए की धन राशि लगी है। इसमें इटैलियन करारा संगमरमर का प्रयोग किया गया है और इसे राजस्थान और उत्तरप्रदेश के एक हजार शिल्पकारों ने तैयार किया है। इस मन्दिर का शिलान्यास 14 जनवरी 2001 को कृपालुजी महाराज द्वारा किया गया था। ग्यारह वर्ष के बाद तैयार हुआ यह भव्य प्रेम मन्दिर सफेद इटालियन करारा संगमरमर से तराशा गया है। मन्दिर दिल्ली – आगरा – कोलकाता के राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 2 पर छटीकरा से लगभग 3 किलोमीटर दूर वृंदावन की ओर भक्तिवेदान्त स्वामी मार्ग पर स्थित है। यह मन्दिर प्राचीन भारतीय शिल्पकला के पुनर्जागरण का एक नमूना है।

प्रेम मंदिर का इतिहास

सम्पूर्ण मन्दिर 54 एकड़ में बना है तथा इसकी ऊँचाई 125 फुट, लम्बाई 122 फुट तथा चौड़ाई 115 फुट है। इसमें फव्वारे, राधा-कृष्ण की मनोहर झाँकियाँ, श्री गोवर्धन लीला, कालिया नाग दमन लीला, झूलन लीला की झाँकियाँ उद्यानों के बीच सजायी गयी है। यह मन्दिर वास्तुकला के माध्यम से दिव्य प्रेम को साकार करता है। सभी वर्ण, जाति, देश के लोगों के लिये खुले मन्दिर के लिए द्वार सभी दिशाओं में खुलते है। मुख्य प्रवेश द्वारों पर आठ मयूरों के नक्काशीदार तोरण हैं तथा पूरे मन्दिर की बाहरी दीवारों पर राधा-कृष्ण की लीलाओं को शिल्पांकित किया गया है। इसी प्रकार मन्दिर की भीतरी दीवारों पर राधाकृष्ण और कृपालुजी महाराज की विविध झाँकियों का भी अंकन हुआ है। मन्दिर में कुल 94 स्तम्भ हैं जो राधा-कृष्ण की विभिन्न लीलाओं से सजाये गये हैं। अधिकांश स्तम्भों पर गोपियों की मूर्तियाँ अंकित हैं, जो सजीव जान पड़ती है। मन्दिर के गर्भगृह के बाहर और अन्दर प्राचीन भारतीय वास्तुशिल्प की उत्कृष्ट पच्चीकारी और नक्काशी की गयी है तथा संगमरमर की शिलाओं पर राधा गोविन्द गीत सरल भाषा में लिखे गये हैं। मंदिर परिसर में गोवर्धन पर्वत की सजीव झाँकी बनायी गयी है।

Prem Mandir, Vrindavan

Located in Vrindavan near Mathura district of the state . It was built by Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj as a temple of Lord Krishna and Radha.  Prem Mandir was inaugurated on 17 February . The construction of this temple took 11 years and an amount of about 100 crore rupees. Italian Carrara marble has been used in it and it has been prepared by a thousand craftsmen from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The foundation stone of this temple was laid on 14 January 2001 by Kripaluji Maharaj.  This grand love temple, completed after eleven years, is carved out of white Italian Carrara marble . The temple is situated on Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg, about 3 km from Chhatikara on Delhi-Agra-Kolkata National Highway 2, towards Vrindavan. This temple is an example of renaissance of ancient Indian sculpture .

History of Prem mandir

The entire temple is built in 54 acres and its height is 125 feet, length is 122 feet and width is 115 feet. In this, fountains, beautiful tableaux of Radha-Krishna, Shri Govardhan Leela, Kalia Nag Daman Leela, Jhulan Leela are decorated between the gardens. This temple embodies divine love through architecture. The doors open in all directions for the temple open to people of all castes, castes, countries. There are carved pylons of eight peacocks at the main entrances and Radha-Krishna pastimes are sculpted on the outer walls of the entire temple. Similarly, various tableaux of Radhakrishna and Kripaluji Maharaj have also been marked on the inner walls of the temple. There are a total of 94 pillars in the temple which are decorated with various pastimes of Radha-Krishna. Statues of gopis are inscribed on most of the pillars, which seem to be alive. Excellent mosaic and carvings of ancient Indian architecture outside and inside the sanctum sanctorum of the templeRadha Govind songs are written in simple language on the marble rocks. A live tableau of Govardhan mountain has been made in the temple premises.
