कनिपकम विनायक मंदिर, चित्तूर 

चित्तूर जिले में केवल तिरुपति, तिरुमाला और श्रीकालहस्ती की वजह से लोग नहीं आते बल्की यहापर के कनिपक्कम के वजह से भी यात्रियों की भीड़ यहापर देखने को मिलती है।

यह ऐतिहासिक मंदिर प्रथम पूज्य गणेशजी का है। इस मंदिर को पानी के देवता का मंदिर भी कहा जाता है और यह मंदिर चित्तूर जिले के इरला मंडल में स्थित है। सब लोगो का ऐसा मानना है की इस मंदिर की भगवान गणेश के मूर्ति धीरे धीरे आकार में बढती जा रही है।

ऐसी अद्भुत और चमत्कारिक मूर्ति के कारण इस मंदिर को महान मंदिर कहा जाता है। ऐसा कहा जाता हैं इस मंदिर परिसर में मिलने वाला पवित्र जल के कारण कई सारी बीमारिया ख़तम हो जाती है। सभी भक्त तिरुपति जाने से पहले इस विनायक मंदिर में आकर भगवान गणेश के दर्शन करते है।

इस मंदिर का निर्माण 11 वी शताब्दी में चोल राजा कुलोठुन्गा चोल प्रथम ने करवाया था और बाद में फिर विजयनगर वंश के राजा ने सन 1336 में इस मंदिर को बहुत बड़ा मंदिर बनाने का काम किया था। कनिपकम एक नदी के किनारे होने कारण इसे कनिपकम नाम दिया गया था।

कनिपकम विनायक मंदिर में मनाये जाने वाले त्यौहार

इस मंदिर में सितम्बर और अक्तूबर महीने में ब्रह्मोत्सवं और गणेश चतुर्थी के त्यौहार एक साथ मनाये जाते है। इसी वजह यहापर जो उत्सव मनाया जाता है वो 20 दिन तक चलता है।

ब्रह्मोत्सव के दौरान यहापर सभी तरफ और भक्तों के बिच में से रथ की यात्रा निकाली जाती है। इस त्यौहार के दौरान दुसरे दिन से ही रथयात्रा सुबह में एक बार और शाम में एक बार निकाली जाती है।

कनिपकम विनायक मंदिर से जुडी कहानी 

इस विनायक मंदिर से कई सारी कहानिया जुडी है। इनमे एक कहानी तीन किसानो की है जो जन्म से ही बैरे, अंधे और गूंगे भी थे। उन्हें अपने खेत की फसलो के लिए जल की आवश्यकता थी। लेकिन उनका कुवा पूरी तरह से सुखा गया था इसीलिए उन्होंने कुवे को निचे खोदने का फैसला किया था।

उन तीनो मे से एक ने अपने लोहे के हतियार से कुवा खोदना शुरू किया तभी वो आश्चर्यचकित हो गया क्यों की कुवा खोदने के दौरान वहाके पत्थर से आवाजे आने लगी। उसकी खुदाई शुरू ही थी, अचानक उस पत्थर से खून निकलना शुरू हों गया।

इसी वजह से जल्द ही वहा का सारा पानी लाल बन गया। इस घटना को देखने के लिए उसने दुसरे दो किसानो भी वहा बुला लिया।

इस चमत्कार को देखने के बाद वो तीनो किसान की सारी तकलीफे दूर हो गयी। जब गाव में सभी लोगो ने उन तीनो में आये इस बदलाव को देखकर सब हैरान हो गए और सभी उस कुवे की तरफ़ दौड़ने लगे और वो सभी उस कुवे को और खोदने लगे मगर ऐसा करने में वो नाकामयाब रहे और उसी वक्त उस कुवे से भगवान विनायक की मूर्ति बाहर आ गयी।

आज भी भगवान गणेशजी की मूर्ति इसी कुवे में स्थित है और इस कुवा का पानी कभी भी खतम नहीं होता। बारिश के दिनों में तो पानी कुवे के ऊपर से बहता है और इस जल को तीर्थ के रूप में सभी भक्तों को दिया जाता है।

People do not come to Chittoor district only because of Tirupati, Tirumala and Srikalahasti, but also because of Kanipakkam, the crowd of pilgrims is seen here.

This historical temple belongs to the first worshiper Ganeshji. This temple is also known as the temple of the god of water and this temple is located in Irala mandal of Chittoor district. Everyone believes that the idol of Lord Ganesha in this temple is gradually increasing in size.

Because of such a wonderful and miraculous idol, this temple is called the great temple. It is said that due to the holy water found in this temple premises, many diseases are cured. All the devotees visit this Vinayaka temple before going to Tirupati to have darshan of Lord Ganesha.

History of Kanipakam Vinayak Temple

This temple was built by the Chola king Kulothunga Chola I in the 11th century and later the king of the Vijayanagara dynasty did the work of making this temple a huge temple in 1336. Kanipakam was named Kanipakam because of its location on the banks of a river.

Festivals celebrated in Kanipakam Vinayak Temple

The festivals of Brahmotsavam and Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated simultaneously in the months of September and October in this temple. For this reason, the festival celebrated here lasts for 20 days.

During the Brahmotsavam, a chariot procession is taken out from all sides and among the devotees. During this festival, from the second day itself, the Rath Yatra is taken out once in the morning and once in the evening.

Story related to Kanipakam Vinayak Temple

There are many stories related to this Vinayak temple. In this, there is a story of three farmers who were haters, blind and dumb since birth. They needed water for their farm crops. But his well was completely dry, so he decided to dig the well down.

One of those three started digging the well with his iron weapon, then he was surprised because while digging the well, sounds started coming from the stone there. His digging had just begun, suddenly blood started coming out of that stone.

Because of this, soon all the water there became red. To see this incident, he also called two other farmers there.

After seeing this miracle, all the troubles of those three farmers went away. When all the people in the village were surprised to see this change in all three of them and everyone started running towards that well and all of them started digging that well more but they failed to do so and at the same time Lord Vinayak emerged from that well. The idol came out.

Even today the idol of Lord Ganesha is situated in this well and the water of this well never ends. During the rainy season, water flows from the top of the well and this water is given to all the devotees in the form of pilgrimage.
